Merry Christmas- self-post

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper even though gift bags are easier, but then u can see what is in the gift bag, wrapping u can't.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial because they are easier to put up and take down and they aren't messy.

3. When do u put up the tree? Some time after Thanksgiving.

4. When do u take the tree down? Some time after New Years

5. Do u like eggnog? I don't know i never tried it and i don't think i want to it sounds sick.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Probably a baby doll, i can't really remember.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Mom, because she never really tells me what she wants for Christmas, so i buy her whatever comes to mind and what i think she will like or use.

8. Easiest person to buy for? Dad, because he can always use tools.

9. Do u have a nativity scene? No, and i don't know why, never thought about it.

10. Mail or email Christmas Cards? Mailing Christmas cards because u can make them more personal.

11. Worst Christmas gift u ever receieved? Clothes that were ugly.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Christmas Shoes, i love that movie even though it is sad but it has a great meaning to it.

13. When do u start shopping for Christmas? Black Friday, after Thanksgiving but i normally don't get finished till almost the day before Christmas because i don't know what anyone wants.

14. Have u recycled a Christmas present? Probably but i don't remember what, probably something i didn't like.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Homemade Christmas cookies of course.

16. Lights on the tree? yea, it wouldn't be a Christmas tree without lights on it.

17. Favorite Christmas song? There is a lot that i like: Carol of the Bells, Christmas Shoes, We Three Kings, Mary did you Know. Some new ones i like too are: While you are sleeping (Casting Crowns), and some others i can't think of.

18. Travel at Christms or stay home? Stay home, so we can enjoy our gifts and spend time together as a family and have fun.

19. Can u name all of Santa's reindeer? yea, i think so. prancer, comet, cupid, donner, blixen, dasher, rudolph.... ok maybe not!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Usually a star, but this year there was nothing on the top because we couldn't find our star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Morning of course.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Rushing around to buy gifts for everybody on my Christmas list.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Snowmen or little stars, mittens, and gloves.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Grandma Kitner's ham loaf !!! hmmmmmhmmm, yummmmy!!

25. What do u want for Christmas this year? I really don't know to tell u the truth i really don't need anything, i got a lot of stuff and there are kids out there that probably didn't get anything for Christmas and we are taking our stuff for granted.

Well for 2008 our new president is Obama:( He is not the one i would have voted for, it definetly would have been McCain/Palin. I guess we got to take what comes at us though, God will see us through whatever we may go through though!!!!

Pennsylvania here we come!!!

Well, our youth group just came back yesterday at about 2:00p.m. from South Dakota. Talk about a long boring trip home (26 hours) it wasn't actually that boring because we had a lot of funny and talkitive guys and girls with us but it was a long trip!!! South Dakota was a fun and pretty interesting trip:) Here are some pictures from our Youth Missions Trip to South Dakota!!!!

Youth Missions Trip 2008

On Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. our youth group will be leaving Central Pennsylvania and driving to South Dakota to help Lori Leese out in her mission work that she does, and we won't be back until the next Wednesday!!! The van is going to be packed full with a bunch of us youth. Brent and Brenda Lenhart planned the trip out for us (thanks). The people that are going on the trip is: Brent and Brenda Lenhart, Glenn Rice, Caslyn Rice, Caila Rice, me, my brother Ethan, Loretta Fuller, Mandy Benner, Buddy Peters, Tyler Maneval, Jared Brandt, Matt Espenshade, and Caleb Mowery!!! We are having a two day Vacation Bible School, chopping wood for Lori Leese, and staining her house. On Monday we are going sight seeing at Mount Rushmore and some other places that we don't know of yet:) We are all going to have a fun a good time!!!! I will make sure I take a lot of pictures and maybe I will post some on when we get back.

16th Surprise Birthday party!!

On Friday, April 11th my mom had a surprise birthday party for me and my dad because his birthday is on the 18th. I kind of knew that I was having a birthday party, because I peeked in my mom's datebook. Thanks everyone that came, I had a great time and I hope you guys did too. I got lots of money and lots of gifts!!! My uncle made a cake for my birthday. He owns a candy shop in Lewisburg called: Catherman's Cakes and Homemade Candies.

Going into Business!!!

Yeah, we are going into business all right. Not no ordinary business, it's lollipop business!! For my senior year I have to do a project in order to graduate, and I chose to do a fundraiser on selling homemade gourmet lollipops for the American Cancer Society. We have been doing it since almost a month, we started somewhere in March. I didn't think that lollipops would go over very well but it has been doing very well. We are keeping busy. My family made the lollipops and we took them around to different businesses to sell them, some of the businesses we took them to were: Fremont Automotive, Martins Hardware Store, and Guardian Angel Bookstore. The lollipops are $.50 each and we have little bags full of little pieces of candy and they are $.50 each also. We make all different kinds of flavors like: cotton candy, root beer, pina colada, strawberry, and peach. We are getting new flavors like: raspberry, apple and maybe some others. Well, now you know how much the lollipops cost, where you can find them, the flavors, and remember it is for a good cause (the American Cancer Society). You can even get special orders of lollipops if you would like, just let us know in an advance time, so we have time to do them. My senior project will end at the end of this school year!! But as long as we have orders we will keep on making lollipops!!! Thank You for your support!!!

On Friday night us teens were supposed to have rock-a-thon, but instead they had a surprise birthday party for my cousin Caila. She was surprised at first, but then she figured out what was going on (so she says). We had cake and ice cream and played volleyball. It was fun!!!

New addition to the Family!!!

Many of you have probably heard about the new addition to the family!!! HA HA HA!!! Just joking, there is none. I am in this class at school called: Family Consumer Science II, and we learn about babies. The school has these babies that you get to take care of and care for it like it were a real baby. It cries and it burps when it needs burped. When the baby cries there are keys you stick into the babies back and the baby will shut up if it is the right key, if not then you just keep on trying all the keys until you get the right one. There are 4 keys: Feeding, Burping, Diaper Change(no you don't change the diaper, it's the key), and attention. I had it over our 4 day weekend and I got bonus points for it,it is a neat experience for teenagers. The first time I did it I got a girl, her name was: HannahMarie Lynn Martin. I got another baby today and it was a boy, his name is Aidan Michael Martin ( I like the name Aidan, it is a cute name). The boy looks like a chinese baby. When I had Hannah I was the only person that left the battery in until I got back to school, I should get a lot of bonus points. My one friend took a baby the same day I did (last Thursday) and she got tired of it the same day, and took the battery out!!! That is hiliarious!!! The school has 1 key babies but they are harder, you have to stick the key in when it cries and wait about 20 minutes for it to shut up, I am not joking either my other one friend had one of those and she was in the middle of the mall and it started to cry and it wouldn't shut up for a while!! Mark Lowry Concert!!!

Yesterday, my family and relation went down to Lancaster at the "American Musical Theater" to see Mark Lowry. It was my second time to see him in person at a concert. He is a comedian and he sings. He is hiliarious!!! There were some other singing groups with him also like: The Perrys, Lordsong, and Stan Whitmier(the piano player for Mark Lowry and he sings also). I didn't get a picture of Stan Whitmier but I did of the other groups, the pictures didn't turn out the greatest they may be dark (we weren't that close to the front, but we weren't that far either). We all had a great time!!!

We all had a fun time at the banquet I think. The least fun thing I think about the whole thing was cleaning the bathrooms and mopping the floors. We had fun decorating though we had a lot of creative people there to help us come up with things to do. Everyone one that signed up to come came except for one couple, which I was surprised because it snowed that day!! We served the people in couples. We had a great time!!!! I will have to get pictures of it on here soon!!

Youth Valentines Banquet!!!

The valentines banquet is tomorrow already!!!! All of us teens are all excited and getting ready for the fun time together. There is 14 couples that are planning on coming, that's not many but at least we have some. We are going to eat, play games, do some skits, and we are going to have a special guest also. We have to get up early tomorrow to decorate for the banquet and get the food ready. The banquet is at the Senior Citizen's center. WE ARE GOING TO BE BUSY!!!
